Orbis Security Solutions

Overview

Orbis Security Solutions is a medium sized security company which provides clients throughout the Western Cape a host of security related services.

The task was to build Orbis a website which would attract new clientele while at the same provide a platform to keep current clientele up to date with news and events. As Orbis was newly established at the time it was important for the company to create differentiators between itself and its competitors, an attractive and functional website formed part of this strategy.

Responsibilities

Hit Delete was responsible for the entire project, including front end design, XHTML and CSS coding, PHP programming, content management system integration, newsletter management integration, newsletter mailer design and statistics management integration.

Branding

The Orbis brand identity is established upon professionalism, integrity, trust and competence. The Orbis logo with its white globe motif and red circular rings exemplifies the global knowledge and security the company offers to both clients and employees alike.

The Orbis colours; black, red and brown are safe and corporate yet still create feelings of freshness, competitiveness and strong leadership. The website design effectively integrates with Orbis's existing brand identity but still adds new elements to the feel that helps the brand maintain its freshness in an online format.

Strategic Challenges

It was crucial for the website to communicate the BEE (Black Economic Empowerment) credentials and goals of the company, while at the same time accurately demonstrating the expertise of the highly skilled management team.
