Overview
Kudos Magazine is a fresh outlook on some of life’s best avenues of enjoyment, entertainment, expression and creativity. Kudos magazine is a glossy affair, absolutely free of charge and available for download to anyone in the world in PDF format.
Responsibilities
Hit Delete was responsible for the web design and development, including front end design, XHTML and CSS coding, PHP programming, XML download statistics, full content management system integration using Wordpress, newsletter management and rotating banner administration.
Brand Identity
The Kudos Magazine brand is focused at innovative designers, musicians and artists; the brand feel is very slick, modern and stylish.
Kudos used their first two issues to fine tune their unique look and feel – they are now satisfied with their identity and are quickly gaining ground in the world of online magazines.
Strategic Challenges
It was important for the website and magazine design to form a single brand identity.
This had to be accomplished while still creating a unique feel for the website; this feel incorporates a sophisticated yet user friendly interface and an inclusive community which make use of the website’s blog and forum.
The communication divide between the UK and South Africa had very little impact and we were able to work together using the internet and occasional phone calls to create an attractive, dynamic website.
